Plan your practice

Flexible classes that fit your schedule

We currently run two classes a week at The Space Upstairs in Burntisland on Saturdays at 10.30am and Thursdays at 7pm. When you sign up to a block of classes you can switch between both days so when life gets in the way of your regular class, you can catch it up at an alternate class any time in the block.

Receive gentle guidance

With experienced teachers you can trust

Each of our registered teachers have gone through certified training programs, specialising in a variety of different practices including Nia Moving to Heal, Nia 52 Moves, Reiki and Groove Facilitator Training. Further more, they have built up a consistent practice on the dance floor and have delivered hundreds of hours of teaching. At Island Moves, we provide gentle guidance for all levels of practice, all shapes and abilities so you can decide what feels best for your body.

Interested in Nia but struggling financially?

We know things aren’t easy right now and we want to help. Island Moves offer a small number of subsidised places every term.

Click on the link below which will take you to a Google form where you can apply for either a full or partially subsidised place. These places are allocated in confidence, no one will know you’ve received one, and funded through a combination of the teachers and Pay It Forward donations from our existing students.

Random Acts of Kindness

Make someone’s day by helping us to offer more fully and partially funded places. For every donation of £5 we will offer one fully subsidised class. To avoid unnecessary transaction fees you can make your donation in cash direct to your class teacher, or you can send your donation directly to the bank account. Please contact Karen or Meg for the account details.
