Burntisland is a coastal town in Fife, Scotland situated directly across from the capital, Edinburgh, and close to the Forth Bridges.
Nia classes happen in a beautiful studio called The Space Upstairs just above Potter About Cafe at 253b High Street, Burntisland KY3 9AQ.
By Train It is easy to get to Burntisland on the train – there are direct trains from Edinburgh (both Haymarket and Waverly stations) at least once an hour, but mostly twice an hour, and trains to Edinburgh from all over the country.
Here is the Route Map & Timetables for trains for the Fife Circle, the route that Burntisland is on from Edinburgh. Some trains on the Aberdeen route will also stop here and there is an hourly service on Sundays. Take a look at the Scotrail site for up to date information and prices.

By Car Driving to Burntisland is also possible of course – use Google Maps for route planning.
By Plane – Edinburgh Airport The nearest airport is Edinburgh, and there is an airport bus (747) that takes you to Inverkeithing train station. From there you can get :
- a train to Burntisland Train Station (around 10 minutes on the train) and then a taxi (or walk) to your accommodation (see www.nationalrail.co.uk)
- bus number 7 direct to Burntisland
- a taxi direct to Burntisland (around £18).
You can also get the airport bus into Edinburgh City Centre, and then a train from there (Haymarket or Waverly stations) to Burntisland.
Taxi Companies Within Burntisland there are a few taxi companies: Lee’s taxis (01592 871234) and Harry’s cabs (01592 874321) and Benny’s Taxis (01592 874422). Neil’s coaches also provide mini-bus hire: www.mini-bus.co.uk. There are no taxis waiting at Burntisland station – you need to phone one of the local companies above. There are usually taxis waiting at Inverkeithing and Kirkcaldy train stations. If you book a taxi with one of the local companies you can expect to pay approximate following prices:
- Taxi from Inverkeithing train station to Burntisland – around £18
- Taxi from Kirkcaldy train station to Burntisland – around £15
- Taxi to Edinburgh airport from Burntisland – between £37 – £40 depending on the time of day plus drop off charge of £1
- Taxi within Burntisland (e.g. from train station to your accommodation or from studio to your accommodation £3, plus an additional 50p for each extra drop off point if you are sharing a taxi to different accommodations)

69 Cromwell Road A five minute walk to the studio. £45 – £50 per night. Evening meal available at £24, Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport pick ups and drop-offs available at a small charge.
Gruinard Guest House Less than 10 minutes walk from the studio. £39 – £50 per night.
39C Bed and Breakfast Again, very close to the studio, less than 5 minutes walk. This includes a twin en-suite room at £66 per room, per night.
Airbnb There are also several rooms/ flats available in Burntisland which appear on Airbnb.
