What is Nia?
Nia is a joyful, low impact movement class inspired by soul-stirring music. Nia’s unique blend of martial arts, dance and mindfulness gives you an energising cardio workout that benefits body, mind, emotions and spirit. You’ll be guided to listen to your body, moving with sensations of aliveness, pleasure and ease. Adaptable for all ages and fitness levels, Nia meets you where you’re at and invites you to move in your own body’s way.
What is Nia Flow?
Nia Flow is a 45 minute class that doesn’t include coming to the floor towards the end of class - a key part of Classic Nia classes.
You’ll experience 45 minutes of guided Nia movement, with an emphasis on connecting with your body through gentle, flowing Nia moves and wonderful music from our thoughtfully curated playlists. Each teacher will bring her own energy to the classes - but the format will be the same each week.

For best results, come prepared to dance barefoot. You can also choose to wear indoor shoes at the studio, or trainers for outdoors where we dance on grass.
Bring water to keep hydrated
Bring a mat for when we go to the floor at the end of class. Staying upright or taking a seat on the bench/chairs provided is always an option!

We encourage you to come and try any class for £5 in the first instance. Nia is one of those things that can be quite challenging to describe with words - it’s really best to come and see for yourself if it’s a fit.
