Nia Flow

We are really excited - and honoured - to continue Jinti’s Tuesdays class. We’re so appreciative to have been asked by Jinti to continue this much loved class - and want to do you all proud! We are each working away on crafting beautiful and dynamic playlists to share and can’t wait to be dancing with you in January.

What will the Tuesday Nia Flow Class be like?

The class will follow the existing format currently offered by Jinti. You’ll experience 45 minutes of guided movement, with an emphasis on connecting with your body through gentle, flowing Nia moves and wonderful music from our thoughtfully curated playlists. Each teacher will bring her own energy to the classes - but the format will be the same each week. We will not go down to the floor in the Nia Flow classes.

Who will be teaching the Tuesday Nia Flow class?

We will each be involved in teaching the Tuesday classes. We plan our teaching rota at the start of each term and upload all of this information to the booking website, which is called BookWhen (https://bookwhen.com/island-moves). You’ll be able to see who is due to teach each individual class, and you can also see this information on our ’who’s teaching when’ tile which is shared on Social Media and in the WhatsApp groups. From time to time we will no doubt have to step in to cover each other; for example, when one of us is unwell.

How much are the classes going to be?

We usually work to 5 week terms with a break week between each term. We may revisit this in the future.

Each Block of 5 classes will be £30. Drop-in Classes will be £10.

Subsidised Rates

The Collective offers supported class rates for those on a low-income or unwaged. We really don't want finances to be a barrier to accessing wellbeing through Nia classes. Choose this ticket if you are unwaged, or on a low income. These classes are made possible by the generous support of our teachers.

How do I book and pay for a block?

You can book in for a block of classes by transferring £30 to the Collective account (details below) and notifying Karen that you will be attending by sending her a WhatsApp or text on 07500 387 346.

Alternatively, you can book online by going to https://bookwhen.com/island-moves

How do I book and pay for a drop-in?

You can either transfer payment of £10 to the bank account (use reference Nia Flow) and let Karen know by WhatsApp or text on 07500 387 346, or you can book in online by going to https://bookwhen.com/island-moves

You can also turn up on the day and pay £10 in cash.

Do I have to book online?

Not at all! You can go ‘old school’ and send your payment for the block by bank transfer - just remember to WhatsApp or text Karen on 07500 387346 to let her know to book you a space.

Bank Account Details

Bank Transfer is our preferred payment method, as it avoids the processing fees associated with online bookings! So we are happy for you to pay this way whenever possible. Please note that you can still ‘book’ your place online using the booking system and select ‘Off Line Payment’ transfer the money directly via BACS. The Bank Account details are in your confirmation email, or message Karen or email hello@islandmoves.co.uk.

How do I keep in touch about classes?

Join the Tuesday Nia Flow Class WhatsApp group if you would like to be kept up to date about the classes. This is where we will let you know about any changes, new terms starting and any cancellations.

The link to the WhatsApp group will be sent in your confirmation email. If you have any issues joining the group, message Karen or email hello@islandmoves.co.uk.

You can also sign up to our newsletter which comes out once per term and has all the up to date information about our classes, teachers and special events.
